Driving standard and modified Land Rovers through marked sections of hillside, as slowly and cleverly as possible. From first-timer Tyro to full CCV.
Exploring the byways of the Midlands and Welsh borders, and weekends in a field with the kettle on. Caravan rallies have reached Italy, Norway and Ireland.
A volunteer-run club since 1967 — including MROC 4x4 Response, which has supported flood relief and public events since 2007.
Since 25 January 1967
Eighty-four members founded the club at the Garrick Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, when the Rover Company handed its owners' clubs to the owners. We've been trialling, touring and towing ever since.
11 July 2026
The MROC website has been rebuilt from the ground up — faster, clearer, and built around what members actually look for: events, directions and how to join.
1 May 2026
The club's flagship interclub CCV trial returns to Green Hall Farm, near Llanfyllin, on 11–13 September 2026.
Membership is £30 a year, £25 on renewal, and includes the ALRC family of clubs. No Land Rover? Associate membership is the same — plenty of members started as spectators.
